Luke May
Undergraduate Researcher
Bio
Hello, my name is Luke May, and I'm from Birmingham, AL. I study chemical engineering with a biochemical specialization at Auburn University and plan to complete my bachelor’s degree in May 2024. I chose to study chemical engineering to make the world a better place. I'm interested in furthering this through my research experience in studying nondigestible fiber's ability to clear uremic toxins. I aim to understand nondigestible fiber's structure-property relationship in order to prove that we can clear uremic toxins by simply eating a snack or a meal. Outside of research, I enjoy playing trombone in the Auburn University Marching Band, guitar, astronomy, making espresso, hiking, and trying new things!
