Bio
Hi, my name is Matthew Garnett. I was born in raised in Alabama and have been supporting the Auburn Tigers from birth (War Eagle!). I have always had a love for science and mathematics. Growing up, I always wanted to be a surgeon like my dad and take the Biomedical Sciences route in college. However, this changed when I took Robotics and Pre-Engineering in High School. At that point, I realized how much I liked engineering and how I can combine my two passions (engineering and medicine) in the same degree. My main research interest revolves around the biomedical specialization in kidney dialysis and creating implantable medical devices that can help in patient treatment. My goal is to help develop treatment that can help replace current treatment methods while helping the patient keep a good quality of life.
